#56785, "Resonator Question"

I used the search but could not get the answer I was looking for. I have the Airmass Thundermuff and want to put a resonator on to try an quiet it down a little. But I am getting confussed does the resonator replace the muffler or does it go up inside the the exhaust pipe and welded in. Also I have been trying to find where I can just get a resonator and the place I call they only come with the muffler.

Thanks for you help guys

it makes it sound allot better trust me! it auctually replaces a section of exhaust. just go to an exhaust shop they should install one for like 30 or so that includes the resonator.

it made my gutted cat, straight though exhaust sound realy good

it was loud and raspy before and now it's nice and deep toned!

Here's a pic of a Thrush glasspack I put on the stock exhaust. The stock resonator goes between the cat and the big bend right before the rear wheel. I needed a bigger one cause I have a test pipe.
