You have to upgrade the pump and either use the cartech FPR they send you or get a Vortech unit. You can use your stock injectors

>and what boost can i run?

Most guys only run 5-6 psi at stage 1 because it's non-intercooled.

>non intrecooled?

Stage1...exactly.

>do i need the missing link?

You don't NEED it, but it's a lot better than what you get with the system. And it's only like $75 or something. Just buy it.

Exactly. ^^^

When you want to intercool. You ought to look around for a Starion FMIC at your local salvage yard that you could pick up and have plumbed for cheaper than the HRC FMIC if you were on a budget.

no u need a better fuel pump,
be wise to get a missing link
and a vortech SFMU is a good idea too

i have all 3 in stock if your ready..

Bill

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.
If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.

You don't need an intercooler with a stage I, but it looks good when you do. And your factory fuel system will work fine. And with the Stage I i would run around 10-12lbs of boost.

You should never stare directly at an eclipse, but then again your only human...

I hope you are kidding. But someone might acually believe you and blow up their engine. I would NOT recommend running 10-12 psi on a stage I non-intercooled Star kit with factory fuel system! 10-12 psi with the Star turbo is really pushing your luck on a stock engine even with big injectors and intercooler. No matter what, you will want fuel mods. You will want an upgraded fuel pump and an FMU at least. I think 5 psi is OK for a Star kit on stock engine with fuel mods and no intercooler (stage I). Add an intercooler and keep the same 5 psi boost and you will be safer. If you feel lucky, add the intercooler and up the boost to 8 psi (stage II). Stray beyond that and you are asking for trouble (although many have done it).
