I couldn't find the head bolt removal sequence in the Chiltons manual or that online engine overhaul pdf thing, and I'm not positive it's the reverse of the installation.

Argh! This sucks, I'm so far behind schedual now, because Chilton can't put the head bolt removal sequence for the 2gnt.

Do0d. Calm down. Hehe. I know your pain, but it IS in the link under DarkOne's sig. That's what I printed out to use when we did my rebuild.

Basically, with the cam gears on your RIGHT, you start with the two inner in the middle and break them loose, then just start working your way around clockwise, loosening the inner ones first (I think) and the then go to the outer ones.

I wouldn't just remove them until you've broken all of them loose first. Check Dino's sig again for that "heavenznotoverflowing" link and try again no0b!

It doesn't have the removal process in that .pdf, only the install, I have had it printed out before I started. I just reversed the pattern as that's how you install head gaskets on other cars (instead of middle-bottom, middle-top, clockwise, you do middle top, middle bottom, counter-clockwise, etc...

Well im looking at my manual and it says reverse order of tightening so im thinkin its like

1 5 9 8 4

2 6 10 7 3

if that makes any sence lol
