I recently treid to install a A/f guage and have been getting weird signals. It was reading fine when I tested it, then when I cleaned up the wires it stoped reading correctly. Could this be because the wired are not all the same size. I used a 14 guage wired threw the firewall but a 18 for the rest. COuld that cause some weird reading b/c of resitance?

I'm not sure about that question sir, but I would recommend that in the future, when you do wiring projects, remember you want one, solid piece of wire going from terminal to terminal. I bet that if you got a couple spools of the 18AWG and redid the whole thing from scratch it would work just fine my man.

Besides... doesn't it bother you to know thost wires are just sort of flubbed together in there? Remember: the coat hanger is your friend with a ticket through the firewall. emoji

Clean connections to terminals and a good ground/source.
