I had some Q's about intake manifolds!First what is an intake manifold? What does it do?Is it good for slightly modded 2g N/T engines?Where will I notice the power gains(low, mid,or top end)? How much HP and torq can I expect to gain from this mod? Will I loose any horsepower or torq?will it work good with the Greddy 4-2-1 header,AEM cold air intake, and a Magnaflow Cat-back exhaust? Are they reliable?little after I get my 1995 Eclipse GS I do plan to turbo charge it!will an intake manifold work well with a turbocharged 420A engine?Last question is who makes them for N/T 2g Eclipses and which company do you reccomend I go with?Any info will be greatly appreciated! Also I'm sorry if there are a lot of questions and if some of them sound stupid, but I would like to know so I don't look stupid when talking to my local performance shops if I do decide to purchase this mod.

1.) the cylinder shaped thing behing ur valve cover 2.)it asically helps bring in air and distribute it w/gas into the engine(head) 3.)sure y not but a throttle body would be good 2 4.)umm all over but mostly higher end 5.)not that much depends on what size and stuff i heard if u get the indy manifold u get like 30 hp but its like >500 washingtons 6.)no 7.)yes the cai will also help it more 8.)yes 9.)yes, and bigger tb the better 4 turbo(65mm ish nt-60 mm) 10.)buy a junkyard one and port and polish it or begin saving bc there all over 500 bucks 11.)np and most performance shop can't help ya u will need to go to a machining shop or send it off somewhere, check out howell automotive or blackdog motorsports depends where u live i guess

Thanks for the reply!I think I'm just going to save my money and get the Indy intake manifold because 30HP is a lot and my Eclipse will be my baby so why not spoil it?One more thing will I notice a difference in sound when I eventually install one of these on my car or will the E/H/I be the only thing I hear?Any more info will be greatly appreciated!
