my check engine light went on, had it scanned by a friend of mine. got the trouble code, seems to be emission. Probable cause says PCM might have failed, anyone know where this is located on a 4G20 engine? is a PCM and a PCV the same?? help! appreciate it! thanx!

in the engine bay right below the battery. ooh and the PCM is the ECU (electronic control unit), and the PCV valve prevents pressurized air from flowing into the crankcase... so no they are not the same thing.

If the ECU fails the car will not run, nor will it throw a CEL. What code did you get?

if it is simply emmisions then you probably just have a bad o2 sensor. i have the same problem and the car still runs fine. i just need to get rid of the cel before i put my turbo on for my own satisaction emoji. let us know what code you are getting, it will help a lot.
