#56130, "Check Engine Light??"

I took my little brother to practice this morning and noticed that ym check engine light was on. When I got home I did the key dance and got 2 codes:

#1: 12 - direct power input to the PCM has been disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles

#2: 31 - EVAP solenoid circuit

Can anybody tell me how to fix these???

Have you recently messed around underneath the hood near your intake? You may have knocked some wires loose near your EGR valve. When I used to mess around under the hood id always break a wire and get a CEL.

imo, CEL31 is the most common CEL on this board. There are so many possible things it could be and it tends to come and go. It could be something as simple as a loose vac line or a worn out purge solenoid to a faulty roll-over valver on top of the gas tank. (more than likey why mine's been on over 2 years now) emoji

You should check the connections of all the vac lines you can find and pay attention to the ones in/around the solenoids behind the splash gaurd in front of the pass side front wheel. Then don't get your hopes up when you reset the CEL and it's not there afterwards. It may come back in a couple days.

Good luck to you!

I havent messed around near my intake in a while. My car runs fine and doesnt seem to have anything wrong with it. I guess this isnt too serious then...is it? I'll just go check all the lines that I can find and hope that fixes it emoji. Any other input? And what is the 12 code? I checked the connections to the PCM and they are on there tight. I don't know. Thanks for the help.

12 is basically a start code code. It's always there, nothign to worry about.
