well u can get crane drag cams for the most power. ur idle will be pretty bad, u probably wont pass emissions, and might loose some low end. if u buy cams alone, they will not do that much as with suporting mods. u can get some nice power if upgrade to a header, hi flow cat, full catback (not too big), cai intake with a bigger tb (not too big - but that one is debated too much).

cams alone will help but they aren't worth it if your not going to upgrade most of the air path through ur car. cams and a p and p would net a somewhat nice high end improvement.

I dont know why everyone is against cams without port/polishing, our head flows pretty darn good as it is.

Im plannin on crane 14's or 16's you can still get a good idle with some safc tuning and the gains are worth it. Cams are going to be the best mods for our cars, especially when all other bolt ons have been done.

get some 14's or 16's and youll be plenty happy

So!
Which are better? Crower or Crane? And are the Stage 2's comparable with either the 14's or the 16's??

Curious as I can see cams in my future...

If you're concerned about idle, the Crower stage 2 cams do lump at idle, as reported above. I'd guess the corwer stage 1 cams will idle fine, as will crane #10s, #14s, probably #12s (not sure about the 12s, they have a far more agressive exhaust than the #14s).

I'd guess the #16s would lump at idle, as they are very agressive for a street car.

I recall reading a post by someone a few weeks back that recorded a video of his car's idle after installing cams... he stuck the camera right in front of his greddy exhaust... coolest sound ever! emoji
but, yeah, assuming the engine can idle on crower 2's, I'd pick those as well.
