Would a 3inch NON mandrel bent catback exhaust have similar airflow as a 2 1/2 Mandel bent exhaust?

Probably close, but why go 3" non mandrel vs. 2 1/2 mandrel?? Why go bigger if it isn't worth it??

you can purchase mandrel bend pipes from jc whitney. they have 3" 45 degree and 180 degree mandrel bends for like 20 a piece i think. two 45 's should get you all the way from the cat. there are only two turns i beleive. thats better than copping out for the 2.5 inch imo and will be cheaper than any catback system you buy.

In the turns maybe the flow would be close, but the straight sections of 3" pipe are going to slow the exhaust gas velocity down and you'll loose low end.

Smooth idle? We don't need no stinking smooth idle.

get under car figure out how many bends u need order them from jc whitney have them welded in

done deal mandrel 3"

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.
