Everyonce in a while, especially longer drives, ill notice my temperature gauge will rise when going up hills, but even if i floor it down a hill, it goes back down, and usually lower than the even mark by a lil bit. It never used to do this until recently. ANy ideas what i should check?

1 - this is all staying within the operating range on the gauge? I wouldn't be too worried about it, but
2 - I would do some general maintenance so if something DOES end up going wrong, you can isolate it quickly. Do a flush and fill, replace your cap and thermostat and you're out less than $20. Just keep an eye on it do0d.

Hey man just a suggestion only b/c this is what is going wrong with me. try checking your oil. If you have to put like a quart in every 2 weeks or so and it comes out with bubbles on the dip stick then it could be a blown head gasket. (mine is!!) The radiator fluid gets lost by getting into the oil thus making the oil have bubbles. Just a thought man if not that then it is probably your thermostat. later, DJTJ

yea ill check that stuff. The only thing is with the gauge is that it will jump all the way to the top if im going uphill long enough or a long enough trip, and it use to never do it
