#55832, "Will removing my silencer create better air flow?"

Whenever I take the silencer out of my exhaust, it seems like my car is a little quicker. Is it just me or does removing the silencer help with the air flow?

Silencers are restrictive.

nah really? Most people would figure that out. silencers murder your horsepower, silencers work by restricting the airflow.

They have a smaller opening in the middle and much less of the 5" portiong for the exhaust to resonate in. Moral of the story, if you want a quieter exhaust don't buy a cantelope shooter emoji
