This topic doesn't really belong in the performance engine board, but I don't think that too many people actually hang
out in there...

This pertains to all of you guys who installed factory doorcaps and factory sideskirts.

Anyway, I ordered door caps from satan the other day thinking that they would be flat on the back of them and could be glued onto the car or something, but they are not and would definately need the plugs and retainer clips that are supposed to come with them.

Has anyone gone through this yet? If you didnt use the clips and plugs, how did you do it and if you did how the hell did you cut into the body and match the plugs and clips on the doorcaps PERFECTLY?

I ordered all of the parts from Rockdale Mitsubishi with club dsm 25% discount, and all the moutning hardware came to $12.00

I really think the magnet idea will work, but i had a few problems with wether I think it will stay on at high speeds, and if I so much as hit a heavy bump, i may have to reset the door caps or something, so I decided that clipping it on is the best way to go.
