#55672, "Changing my Battery took 2 secs of my quater mile"
For the past month or two my car has been so sluggish. At the track a ran 18.9 at like 70 maybe less. I check everything, no cel, changed oil, used injector cleanor, checked battery and all belts, and everything checked out. The car kept getting slower, it felt like the air was on when I was driving, could barley move the car. I thought my clutch was going. Turns out the ground in the battery was bad, so it tested fine, and could hold the charge enough to start the car, but not to ground the rest of the car. As soon as i put the new battery in, amazing...now I'm flying down the quater mile at 16. not really flying at all.
Just thought this might help if anyone had a similar problem, as the battery a yearold form the dealer.

Batterys have nothing to do with the way a car runs tho. Once you start the car all electronics are run off the alternator. You can start a car and take the battery out and start nother car, and another car and so on.
Maybe it was cause you spent so and so amount of money and figured something should work right:)
edit: reread first post...a good ground is good for powe (aka spark power and what not)
