i noticed that some days when i start the car for the first time, i can hear the fuel pump prime itself. On most other days, i dont hear it and the car has a hard time starting..as in tries to die once it starts. Would this be the fuel pump relay? Also, if the relay is bad, would it cause hesitation when it malfunctions?

my fuel pump is fairly new, so im guessing its the fuel pump relay...exactly where is it located???

firewall, drivers side, should be 2 black boxes,maybe more if you have mmore options than me, next to each other, i believe the one closest to the engine is the fuel pump relay (if you are looking at it from the front the one on the left)
