Does anyone have one of these? i figure they can come in pretty handy for doing little adjustments to see if there was a power increase, since there isnt a dyno anywhere near here. what all is involved in the wiring up of one? do you splice into the ECU at all? thanks.

my friend has a RSM.. not apex.. but it just plugs into the lighter in the car... its not a cheapie either.. i guess he said it reads the amperage or something.. i dk how it works

I have an RSM gooked up on my car and everythings is in meters and stuff like that. So its not accurate to our standard unless you write down the numbers and go home and recalculate and convert them. But I found out running a 400 meter is the same as a quarter mile. It hooks up to the ecu, very similar to the apexi s-afc. I think it looks pretty cool otherwise and everybody is always amazed at it.

Umm.. wouldn't these things be doing the same thing as a G-TEC? It plugs into my cig lighter.. and monitors g-forces to determine whp lateral g's and stuff like that. My Gtec was within 3 whp of my dyno run.. so i concider it to be VERY accurate

No they are much more acurate than a G-tech, because it's actually wired to your computer, but it does differen't things than G-tech does.

The 2 splices to the ECU is the engine speed (tach signal) and wheel speed.
