well i did it and man does it feel great, only one problem, the plate doesnt open all the way, those of you who made it open all the way did u feel it when u modded the tb to get it completely horizontal? and if so can somone show me better pic on how to mod it, ive only seen the ones in the first post and it doesnt justify it enough...... but man lots top end power and car feels and runs great emoji by the way my TB is the new dual spring action were it has to setups, the second seting is really stiff to ensure the Thrttole plate closes, but they also added a new spring that ensures it to close on the first setting..... HIghly recomended mod when porting the manfiold to match, by the way got a extra manifold for sale cheap!

you gotta make sure the butterfly plate is completely horizontal at WOT.. if not, your engine isnt seeing the maximum amount of air, and you wont acheive maximum horsepower..

its really easy to check... have a buddy step on the gas/throttle (WOT) and have your intake piping off, of course, and look at the plate w/a flashlight... if its horizontal, chill..

if not, loosen the bolts on the intake mani (holdign the bracket on the front, nonfirewallside, of the manifold... tighten up that metal line (throttle cable) and check again...

only move the line about 1/8 to 1/4 inches each time... you dont want to snap the line emoji

Glad to hear the gains dude! It seems that either MP didn't fix the "real" problem or something is wrong on your end.



^ Jamesman redrilled the two holes, on the throttle "cable holder", so that the amount of movement needed to open the throttle plate was reduced. Doing this will mostly likely require you to adjust the throttle cable bracket on the intake manifold. Btw don't drill on the "cable holder" like i did emoji

Your essentially making new holes which shortens the length of travel the throttle cable needs to open the plate. This in turn, makes the throttle plate fully open @ wot. Btw there isn't really a measurement for the drilling, I just eyed it out. Remember what worked for me may not work for you. Good luck
