hey whats up I dont know what to do I was almost in tears tonight .. heres what happened. I got a a HRC kit for my GS and I also port and polished. JE pistons eagle rods low compression, Head, the whole bit. I dont want to neame the guy or the shop right off but he is in the new york long island area..... so anyway ill just say what happened. first oiff thia all started last year.. he had my car for 6 and ahalf months!!! giving me excuse after excuse on why my car wasnt done.. oh the machinist this oh thsi is on back order, oh one of my guys is out sick blah blah blah finially get the car out .. no intercooler cuz hes "piping guy" wasnt there.. anyway said I was going to be running at 15 psi and had me at 6psi for the break in of the motoer and not to booste unteill 4000 miles so 2 months go by had my oil change already all that stuff but the cars buring crazyyy oil now .. liek yea ill beat on it on weekends but thats about it im down 2 quarts every 2 weeks!! he says this is normal "its a turbo car and its gonan burn oil especially if you beat on it " also the car runs a lil hot. I put my egt guage in and on the highway if I floor it it creaps past 16 egt wtf? ...? I dont knwo too much about this but at stock boost 6 psi I could hit 16 egt? he ays yea thats a lil high bring it in and hes gonna adjust something .. now whatever what can he do? in my opnion you cant hit 16 at 6psi unless soemthings fuked up shitty bad head job? I dunno liek I said I dunno too much about it. Also by the way I STill dont have my intecooler yet ! wich I payed for ! now my car started stalling out when I was idling he said it is progly something to do with my ignitin coil or some shit and it has nothing to do with anything he did . anyway I chek my oil and I am 2 quarts down as usual I figure "ill change it to morrow at work" anyway soem how I burn 2 quarts in one day and get a hole in my radiator on the way to work and didnt realize it cu my heat gauge wasnt working and ran my car a little with no oil and now fuked up my head .. now he blames me says its not underwarentee cuz I didnt fill my oil up .. and I have to pay for the fix.. and he has too many cars and he wont get to it for another 2 weeks then send it to the machinist wich takes a week and hes got my car in his shop right now .. 3 weeks? and thats lo ballling it with thsi guy he really mean sa month ana hafe you double everyting he says anyway am I getting FU*ked or what ?!?! I need my car man Its my only car I want every ones opinion on everything I need help I duno what to do I want opinions on my oil problem if it snormal? and t he egt and everthing ..

ur mechanic sux monkey ballz...he has no idea what he is doing...i would never let anyone but a certified DSM mechanic work on my car because there is almost noone around that knows anything about our cars except the owners. I dont think ur mechanic is taking ur buisness seriously and he is being lazy and not doing things right. Your car shouldnt be burning oil so bad and ur egt's shouldnt be so high. He f*cked up.

YOu konw.... I am just a beginner...but DEFINITELY YOU GOT FUCKED BY THAT GUYS.

I did a full engine rebuilt myself (first time, never seen anyone..etc) I did it all fine. But then again, I fucked up my tranny. But this weekend, iwill swap out the tranny, and put in a good one.

Anyway, Everything is SO EASY TO DO, I mean, if I can do it again, I prolly get it done in 4-6 days. I learned alot.

What I think you should do, is, DO THIS QUICK, get a used but in good perfect condition Engine (FULL ENGINE) Or an engine without intake and exhaust. Then, just swap out your engine with that one.

I konw, everything will be back to stock, but then, you have all the time you need to spend on to fix that rebuilt engine with JE piston and etc.... And all you need is around $800 - $1000 for an extra good working condition engine.
swapping an engine is EASY, I can do it in 1 day. LOL. I took it in and out 4 times in 6 hours.. .LOL.

Anyway, Just think of it!, if you get your current FUCKED up engine out, put a new one in, ($1000 the most) (you put it in yourself thou coz labor cost like $1500) anyway, now you have your currrent engien out, you can FUCK THAT MF mech, and tell him to go suck his papa's dick, then go take your time and fine some good mech to fix it up (like VTENGINE.com)

The good thing is, you can still drive your car as long as you don't blow your engine.

That guys a bone head dude. My sugestion would be to go here http://www.nyccdsm.com/ and ask some of the members there where they take there mechanic work if that's the route you want to go. Also now that you've got an egt gauge (get an air/fuel gauge to) do alot homework at this site, also www.dsm.org and www.vfaqs.com and learn how to tune and tweak things yourself. I personly find it very fun and much more fullfilling when I do the work myself. But if you fuck something up you have no one to blame but yourself. But I kind of prefer it that way. I couldnt really make much sense of your first post, it was like you took a big breath and said all that at once! but, it sure sounds like you got dicked. happens to 99% of the people who let strangers work on their cars, so dont feel "too" bad. how old are you? if you are fairly young(18 or so) get your parents involved, and get the situation with him ironed out. this is EXACTLY a person you research a project, and almost know how to do it correctly in their own head before having someone else do it, so you can know if you are getting screwed or not. guess ya live and learn. not much you can do now if your car is messed up again, but i would NOT let him touch it anymore.

The guy that did the work is from nycdsm, dont think he is gonna go that route again. In all fairness the guy that did Jareds turbo also did mine . I was in and out in a week. Worked perfectly and nobody in nyc will ever say that he doesnt do good work BUT his problem is he takes on more work than he can handle.Its like him and another guy that works on the cars but in the back of his store he has like 20 cars that all have to be worked on ? Which means that there is 20 customers pissed off right now. I personally wouldnt go back there and I would not recemmend anybody else going there unless you have a spare car. All nyc guys aim me if you wanna know who it is.

Jared I think you should have the car toed out of there and bring it over to Turbo trix in Jersey. Atleast Jeff will be straight up with u. If he says he can do it , he WILL do it.

If you ran it without oil, its not your head that's messed up, you probably spuna rod bearing.

If the car burned that much oil that fast, he built the engine wrong and should be help accountable. take it somewhere else, have them inspect the engine, detailing that damage done and why it failed, then bring that evidence to a lawyer and file suit for the damages.

what dino said. that little dick ass should have built your motor right from the start.. you need to have another shop inspect that engine why it consume so much oil, and if they say, it was not built correct your on your way ( in a good way )..

yea but cany he just say he built it right and it wasnt burning oil? he can say all the damage was from a bad oil change or something. I mean if he had a smart layer hed probly get off. #1 thing is to get he car outa the shop. then deal with the $1000 he ows me for the intercoler once its out .. ill keep you guys updated

the break intime is not to far off i recomend about that...

but this sounds like u need to remove the car from the shop start reading the factory serivce manual and pulling it apart.. have some local club memebers look at the broken or scorred parts from no oil...
mostlikly u can recondition the rods and replace the bearigns and keep your forged internals...

i dont see how much could ahve happened in the head before the bottom end went..

well theres good compression and oil and water not mixin but he seems t o think the head is warped Im puling the car outa that shop .. my questions that from the getco I could hit 16 egt and I was buring a quart of oil a week I think tahts alittle excessive on a new moter

yeh that's a lotta oil I just rebuilt my engine and I burned like 4 quarts of oil in like 1k miles because I didn't replace my valve stem seals. Blows goats.

Do you have a lotta piston slap? Cuz I do (buy pistons after you open up the engine or buy oversized) and I'm not burning oil from anywhere else cept the valves.

high egts could be a result of no intercooler and incorrect fuel tuning.

Doesn't HRC recomend 4-5psi with no intercooler (I know with the star kit is like that, but that's a bigger turbo)
take a look at your a/f gauge, and guel press gauge. that will let you know if the high temps are due to lack of fuel or too much fuel.
if you don't have those gauges GET THEM!
you should have done a bit of research before giving your car away to someone who's obviusly just as lost as you.

also check the intake manifold for any oil if there is oil in there you could have busted the pcv valve, take it appart and blow on it from both directions to see if it stops flow going from the mani to the valve cover.
are there any oil leaks on your drive way? could be that your oil return line is leaking, check your oil lines. never dismiss the simplest answers.
