What happened I passed him in second gear. In third gear I couldnt keep up. I have only 2 basic mods. Muffler is cherry bomb turbo, took of the stock 14" for 15" with 55 series mounted on them. I also completly changed the car from 95 to 97 Talon. I am using a avenger tranny which is new. He has k&N with bola exhaust and 16" rims.

In 98 the only Civics w/ VTEC were the 2dr HX (piece of shit with gearless tranny) if you lost to that I would seriously recommend you get yourself a Dodge Viper, and the 2dr+4dr EX, assuming he was a 5 speed it may have been a KINDA close race but you should have won by far, ESPECIALLY if it was a 4 door. I do all the time, with little effort. BTW, the EX engine is a SOHC inline 4 with like 130hp and 107 tq, with mods, maybe pushing 110hp and 95 tq AT the wheels.

Did you spin your tires for a while off the line? Both cars were 5 speeds right? Have you maintained your car pretty well, tune ups and all that?
