Well like a dumbass I didn't replace em because I was too cheap when i was rebuilding the engine and now I'm burning oil which is annoying because there is absolutely no other place I'm losing oil an my vacuum is high now so it sucks it in pretty good.
anyway I was wondering how many valve steam seals we have? We have 16 correct because all I got in my upper gasket kit were 8 O_0? maybe we only have 8 I don't know why but just wanna make sure.

Been a long day Hades? I would have figured you would know this one in yoru sleep.
Yes it's 16, valve stem seal is part of the lower seat for each valve spring. Dirt cheap when I got a set through Bob Kise. (shipping would have been more had I not been ordering other stuff).

I think removal and install with a cleaning of the head was around $150... I made multiple trips to the machine shop, so i don't remember what I paid for what anymore. Give some area machine shops a call.

The upper gasket set doesn't come with valve stem seals. I'm pretty sure that what you are looking at are the rubber seals for the bolts in the valve cover.
