trying to get my fuel filter off......i was trying to undo the bottom bolt and then it happened. the fuel line witch the nut is connected twisted and broke off. i'm so pissed at myself. what do i do? how long is that fuel line. i know that i will have to replace the fuel line but will it be easy enough to change the lines or am i better off taking it to a mechanic. need help quick

The length of the line will depend on which side you broke off. On 96+ the line that runs to the fuel filter from the gas tank will be considerably shorter than the one that runs to the engine bay. On 95's it will be just the oposite because it is under the hood. Replacing the line really shouldn't be that hard to do but you might want to take it to someone because it will be messy.

Yeah I did the same thing, I don't know if you have a 95-96 or a 97+ but I've got a 97 and it was in the rear close to the tire. busted the line and got gas in my eye. I went to satan and bought another fuel line but ended up having a shop put it in for like 200 bucks because they said I'd have to do all sort's of things like drop the gas tank. From what I understand it's not worth doing it yourself unless you absolutely have too. but then again I could be wrong.
