Originally wanted nos for my '96 na, now I think I'm going to build a trubo system from used parts, but I'd like to know the milage or average lifetime of certain stock parts. Ex, if I get a stock turbo for $100 with 45k miles on it, even if it's been driven hard, could I expect another 45k on it before I dump it? How about an intercooler, bov, other turbo parts?

Do a search in the turbo section on HRC, STAR, and also try to find info about backyard turbo kits as they are sometimes called. There are a lot of parts needed to make an RS or GS work with the GS-T/GSX turbo parts. You would end up spending more piecing it together than buying the premade kits, plus with the kits you will be much faster.
