#53976, "stuttering problem........."

here goes.......every blue moon my car decides to piss me off....today it didn't want to stay running......i was stopped at a stop sign and started to go....got up to about 3000 rpm's and it started to stutter and cut out on me.....i put it in N and kept it running by reving it a little (im auto)........i got it home and turned off......started up quick but still had a stutter in it and sounded like it wanted to die......after i let it set for a while i started it up again and it was gone.......wtf happened.......could a fouled plug do this or some plug wires that are gettin old......its the second time its done this too me.......about a month ago it did the same thing and went away.....but it only does it in the rain.........i do have a cai and yes i took the bypass valve off cause of the recall thing......i try to avoid standing water but could it have been since the filter is on the ground gettin soaked by oncomin rain while driving....yes im puttin the valve back on when i find it again but do u guys think that is the problem or could it be something else...........im scared to death to drive in the rain now because of this and this is the only car i have........im takin it to mitsu tomarrow to change the tranny fluid because i dont really feel like doin it myself (even though i know how and capable of doin it myself) should i have them check something and if so what should they check......i just have to say that this has been the worst summers so far because of all the damn rain and Kentucky's lack to put in more drainage things on the roads....we have had like 15+ inches of rain this month alone....dont quote me on the number......

I would check your plug wires and coil.
Get a 10mm ratchet and a buddy with a 420A and spend a half hour swapping his coil and wires onto your car. If you start it and it runs fine - problem solved. If not, you might check some fuel components like filter etc.

Good luck mang. This happens to a lot of us and we know your frustration here. emoji

bump?

yeah it might be the spark plug wires. my friend had a problem like that. it would run crapy untill about 4500 rpms. he changed the wires and it rean fine for a while and the problem returned. but the only thing that i can think of is the wires emoji

from what I heard its your fuel injectors. I have spent thousands trying to get rid of the problem for 2 years now. The plugs and ignition cpoil will only temporarily help. Check your injectors and please post a response.

what i mean is one of the four injectors are fried which is not allowing one or more of your cylinders to work. Make sure your injectors are ok.
