#53865, "did search...Datalogger misfire and MAP codes... question?"

im getting a datalogger code of P0301 misfire cyl. #1, and P0106 MAP range code. Why? car doesn't feel like its mifireing, and i have missing link. Could it be a problem of a bad o2 sensor for the misfire code (im also running real rich and have shitty gas milage)?
any info on these?

thanks
tim

pull your plugs, gap them, clean them.
swap your plug wires and see if your misfire code goes to the other cylinder. If it does then your wire is bad, imo.

I'd bet the excessive fuel is what is causing the misfire, fix the MAP out of range code and I would think that would clear up, unless the excess fuel has foulded out the pugs.

I was afraid you were going to ask that... I have the same code and mine won't start...

With your turbo the MAP may be seeing boost and therefore out of range. I'm pretty sure mine is reading low... maybe from cams, maybe from the headwork...

I was brainstorming with a friend last night and grasping for straws... waybe a bad from O2 that makes the ECU look for a different MAP value because the two don't agree... A vaccum leak, bad seal that doesn't let the MAP see al the pressure that's coming through.

Anybody else with ideas please post something more helpful that I just did.

I just threw cel PO106 last night too. I have no clue what it means either. I have a stage 2 w/ missing link and 335 injectors. I know Im running rich, so Im wondering if running too rich screwed up the MAP sensor. The car keeps bucking and theres very little power in low RPM's. Anyone else have any other ideas?
