Speed sensor for MT is just below your throttle body, mounted on top of the tranny. It is a 3-wire plug. Make sure it didnt come un plugged, or that your harness isnt cracked like mine was. I bought a new speed sensor and harness for like $25 from Satan.

and make sure you know drop any shit into the hole where the sensor goes either. my friend dropped the little wheel thing that turns in the hole. you couldn't even see it. the wierd thing was, the next day it was just sitting on top of the hole. creepy shit
You've Just Been YourInMyMirrOWNED! CrazyEclipse: Personally I cant do it or at least I dont believe I can. And YA I do play with it...... sometimes...... I'm not bashful, and I think I am the first girl on 2gnt that has admit to it.

I have never done this, but i believe you have to open an access pannel on the mtx to slip the speedo gear on the sensor right? mabye im wrong. But i rember the speedo gear does not fit through the hole.
Anyways before you start jacking the trans up get a datalogger and see if your getting a speed signal. Doing this you can basically cut the potential problems in half. If you do get a signal then your speed sensor is fine and you have an electrical problem. if not then its probably your speed sensor.
this happened to me a few months ago and i just figured it was the speed sensor. then i hook up the datalogger and it displayed the speed! So i removed the instrument pannel and checked everything out. put it back in and it worked better, but not right. So I took the IP back out and bent the pins out so they would make a better connection and its been working ever since.
