hey guys for those of you who are/were NA and went with the TURBO version of the apex n1 catback exhaust system (3" piping) did you notice any performance differences with or without the silencer? since the major drawback to running 3" piping while NA is the loss in backpressure does leaving the silencer in make any noticable difference? the silencer decreases the opening at the tip to about 2" or so whereas without it the tip is something like 4"+ or so. just something i was wondering about. i took my car to the track for the first time last week and wanted to try running it again with the silencer in to see if there's any difference. of course that was my very first time at the track so any improvement the next time prolly won't be just due to the silencer. i'll prolly hafta run again without it later on. anyways any info/experience would be aprreciated! emoji

all that stuff about losing low end is crap...all the NA mods i did that "should" have lost low end, never did...go ahead and go with the 3"....although there really is no added benefit of it unless you do plan on turbo...2.5" is fine for NA..

I gained 1 lb of torque when I dynoed my car with it. nothing that you will feel. i took it back out since it looked dumb. i think it took away like a half hp. funny thing is, i didn't notice a change in the sound.

lol ya to be honest i didn't really notice the loss of low end that every one said i would get when i went from the stock exhaust to the N1 turbo exhaust... i haven't really noticed much of a difference with or without the silencer either. it's little quieter with it in (mostly less droning when cruising on the highway). was just kinda wonderin if anyone noticed a difference...
hehe nice to see someone actually dyno'd the difference though emoji
i was thinking i could try two separate runs at the track the same night but then i was thinking it might be hard to either put in or take out the silencer after running the car like that... haha it's hot emoji

*sigh* that 3" piping will be put to good use eventually... hopefully.. emoji
