#53402, "how much to port/polish intake manifold or honed/extrude (sp?)"

well, i'll be getting my hands on a spare intake manifold and i was wondering what you guys think a local show here would charge to to the above, port/polish or honed/extrude (spelling). i know the second choice would be more effient and all so i'm just trying to get a price. i already have my throttle body bored out so i basically need some info. also, if there is a shop close to any of you guys that can do it cheap and good, let me know. thanks.

port/polish only goes so far where as honed/extrude is all the way through. so i believe.

Extrude/hone- This is done by machine with more precision, where port/polish is done by hand (dremel)

Extrude Hone used to have prices on their site, but they don't anymore. emoji

Extrude Hone pushes an abrasive liquid through the unit to flow erode any imperfections and resistance. Here's a link: read all about it!

dont pay more then 150$ to have your intake manifold ported and polished..

in my eyes for the money u will not benefit enough from a extrude hone on our cars for the price it has...

have the injector bumps smoothed out and ported n polished and u should pickup a few ponies...

if u want a new sheetmetal style intake with mandrel bent runners come talk to me they are about 500$ with a round chamber instead of a box style...

Bill

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.
If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.
