this should probably be moved to the turbo section. but my advice is, if you are having to ask these questions, then you shouldnt try to do a custom turbo kit. use the search method and "things we've seen before" for info about pre-fabbed turbo kits for the 2gnt. or hit me up on aim if you want.

later

There is no best AND cheapest, but...

cheapest = custom 14b or t25 turbosystem
best = modified HRC or Star stage 2

If you do a custom setup, you'll have plenty of downtime... and you'd better know what the hell you're doing.

If you choose an HRC or Star kit, you need to know about a couple weak parts in the kits... FPR, gauges, and MAP sensor fuel cut defenser.

Good luck to you whatever you end up doing. You'll love a turbo car!

turbocharge and cheap should not be in the same sentence... turbocharging WILL cost you...

Turboing a car can be cheap but not likely. If u buy all the parts used and can weld a manifold and bend your own pipes. Then it won't be as much. You can get decent 14b's for 150 off ebay. There is going to be shaft play and no garentes. And then u need all your fuel componants gauges fpr bov. Hoses (intercooler is a must imo) Every thing will add up quick but then after that horse power won't even compare to that of a hans or star. My turbo setup is custom but was done buy a shop in Fl. There name www.sfp.net (southern florida performance) I bought it used but i tihnk the orginaly owner paid around 4000 for it all. Made 175 horse at 3psi at the wheels. So i my opinion i would go with a boughten kit. Much less time and less hassel. Most people like the han kit because they have good tech you can call and they will help work you throw everything. Just my 2 cents. But Talk to RXReclipse he has a custom 14b turbo on his car.

for the easy sum of $16.00 plus S&H you could get this "electronic universal supercharger as good as a garrett t3" .... emoji

http://www.amarket.com/imbl03.htm

or $99.99 on ebay for the same scam

seriously the words cheap and turbo don't mix
