#52333, "Synthetic oil change"

I have a 95 eclipse rs with about 70,000 miles on the engine. If I was to start using synthetic oil, would it help out my car alot? Or is synthetic oil only for high performance cars? Does anyone else with a stock rs use synthetic oil?

You shouldn't have any problems running synthetic oil in your car, man. Synthetic is almost always better than conventional oil unless you just did a rebuild, in which you want that extra bit of friction and the natural oils to be absorbed by the metal.

It's doubtful you will notice any improvement if you switch to syntetic too. You engine will notice, but you more than likely won't.

Use High Milegae oil. Dont mess with synthetic. No reason to go that route if you havnt been. If you're like me (well the former me, i work at Jiffy Lube now), I would change the oil when i had hte money. Synthetic isnt cheap. High mileage oil would do a better job inside your engine than synth would imo at your miles. I have about 85k on mine and i use Pennzoil HM.

I made a bad mistake and bought High mileage oil and my car runs like shit right now....I dont recommend it

Performance: Stuff that makes my car run better or go faster

Looks: Stock because looks doesnt make my car go faster or run better

Weight Reduction: CF Hood, No A/C or Powersteering Accessories, No rear interior
