#51943, "Ecu upgrades?"

I have a 98 gs, with a hahn stage III turbo kit, (upgraded pistons, rings, rods) stock cam gears (thoes worked better than my aftermarket ones) front mount intercooler, AT. for some reason my damn engine light won't go out. and sometimes when i accelirate slowly to around 30mph my engine sounds like it misses or something, than shoots fwd, like its shifting really hard. i can power through it but it just feels like its shifing funny.

Anyways i need to figure out why my engine light won't go out, or sometimes it goes out for like 4 hr then it comes back on. like in a cycle.

Secondly i need an ecu upgrade, any ideas?

And the 60mm throttle bodys, who do i contact for them?

Lastly does anyone know how to set timing, not spark, cam. i have adjustable AEM gears and i think one of my problems is i need to time them.

Well there are no ECU upgrades for the car except for the AFX ECU. I think it's only out for the 97 MT guy's, but I wouldn't use it with boost anyway. For the light, go to autozone and they will read it for free, or you can try the key dance. As for the cam gears they shouls have come with instructions, but from what I know it's just loostining the bolts and turning them the way you want them.
Oh and for the TB you can contact a junkyard for a jeep TB or modern performance for the billit TB.

did you try the "key dance" to get some rough ideas of what the cel might be? that would be the only thing i can think of unless you have a datalogger or a pocketlogger. i dont know about any ecu "upgrades" that are worthwhile. i would just go with some piggy back units to change settings unless you want to buy a reprogrammable ecu for like $1700. (someone smack me if im wrong) later.

1998 Eclipse RS. Nothing great here.
Added the turbo wing and lowered it
down. More to come.
