(This is after doing the "key dance," on/off/on/off/on, then counting the CEL blinks...)

I'm noticing some odd, misplaced pauses... It's my understanding that it should just blink out, uninterrupted, the code... THEN pause, THEN 5-5..

I recognize the 5-5, but everything before it is just a mystery... Doesn't coincide with anything here::

Are they separate codes?

It goes like

blink...pause...blink-blink...pause...blink-blink-blink-blink-blink...pause...blink...pause...blink-blink-blink-blink-blink...pause...blink-blink-blink-blink-blink

...which translates to 1-2-5-1-5-5,

...which translates to codes 12, 51, and 55. 51 is the one you have to worry about - 12 and 55 are normal.

Fuel System Lean
MAP sensor output / Injector / Fuel pressure / Intake air leaks / Heated oxygen sensor / Adjust S-AFC

cel 51 yumm could be any of these probs but all in all it means your running lean and that is a big prob.

more than likely your map is bad or clogged check it out. assuming you have a fuel pressure gauge that can be checked, and injectors- run some cleaner through, have you added mods to increase your airflow?

well

yeah

a turbocharger... heh

So I'll start it off by... using some fuel system cleaner... then check MAF?

How about adjusting this::

IDLE FUEL % SETTING
While in Monitor Mode, depress the Idle button so that it pops up. Rotate the knob to adjust the idle fuel mixture % between the range of -50% to +50% in 1% increments over the factory setting- Clockwise to richen and Counter-Clockwise to lean out. As you adjust the knob, the numeric setting and the % indicator will blink. After you have selected the numeric % value, the number and % indicator will stop flashing and will revert back to monitor mode to indicate that the setting has been saved into the memory and the idle setup is now complete.

(hks super afr..)

Passengers have often fucked with it... I've never gotten a CEL but I'll go try to play with it now... (i have the manual..heh)

If I do correct the problem, will the CEL shut off on its own or will i need to reset it, clear the codes to see if the problem has been resolved?

Oh... and might this have something to do with the fact that my downpipe is broken? (*less, if any exhaust is going past the O2 sensor..)
