I took my car to the dealership to get the fuel filter changed, and while i was waiting in the waiting room, the mechanic comes to me and asks what i did to my car, and i am like "nothing", so he is all let me show you something. There was black fluid everywhere. He said that when he pulled out the fuel filter, black fluid and fuel came out. Now he had a container below to catch what was just supposed to be fuel, but it had a lot of black fluid and he had no idea what it was. They wanted to charge an arm and a leg to do a fuel line flush and i didnt do it. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THIS COULD BE??? PLEASE HELP!!!

I use Chevron Premium gas. My gas milege is actually really good. I can go about 400 miles on a tank. Also, I noticed that when i changed my spark plugs, it had a black goo on the plug threads. It had a really close resemblence of oil, except parts of the goo were clumpy?? please keep the insights comin!!

i agree with metaljim change gas stations. another thing you could do is replace all of your rubber fuel lines with new ones, your lines could be fallin apart from the inside out. it shouldn't be too expensive but it will take time. later "Z"
