I'm training in the National Guard right now learning to be a mechanic, so with learning all these new ideas and such, there's a few things I'd like to do to my car when I get home. I want to spend around $1k in parts, and do the labor myself or with some help. How should I spend it??

-lightened flywheel
-AFX UDP
-headers
-machine heads (vortex effect?)
-machine cam rod
-cam gears
-S-AFC

Any of those or other ideas? I want to maximize my money:power ratio, and I don't plan on NOS or turbo, fyi.
