i just bought on from jegs...its the same kit...the only problem w/ this is that you'll have to buy a kill switch to be able to run at the track...i'm not sure if i want to do this or not..would be nice for the extra room under the hood though

You will need a cutoff switch, a metal box (The Summit kit is plastic, which is NOT NHRA legal), and a vent tube that goes to the exterior of the car (even if you have a gel battery that doesn't outgas...). So many rules and regulations... -=B-=
Dude, Boeing called. They want their wing back.

funny ... no one has given me crap about it at the track. Hides in the spare tire well and I never mention it so they never look. Hell I don't even keep the lid on it. Just the cover for the spare tire well (which is 1/4" wood now not the crap material it was before)

My local track would give me grief to no end, so I need to find an NHRA-legal kit. -=B-=

Bill do you know anybody that does welding?
Go to the hardware store buy yourself some sheet steel, cut to the dimensions you want have the bottom and sides welded together, get a couple hinges a rubber seal for the top and a latch, make a battery tie doen wiith some stock threaded rod and some scrap left over from steel. then drill three hole: pos, neg, and vent. A few grommets run the wires/tube and you should be set.

Fuck a box!
I ordered the Summit kit and all I used were the mounting bracket and cables. The box is to big, unless you rip out all the shit in there. In fact, I think I need to do that.
