#516, "Anyone ever take the stock header cover off?"
I was thinking about taking the stock header cover off. Would this cause any heat problems? I have never seen our stock headers do they look like after market ones? I think it would look better with the cover off.

I was curious a while back and made the mistake of taking the heat shields off.....what a horror! Even if you painted them, they would still look nasty.

For the first time, I saw my stock headers when I took them off the other day. They were a bitch to take off. Let me tell you, they don't look anything like aftermarket headers. They are two pieces and look like a big block of brown steel. You don't want to show that off.

There's a reason it doesnt look like a header. Its not. Its just a cast iron exhaust manifold. When you say "header" you are referring to the tublar style manifold. I have to agree, its damn ugly. =o)
