I think that my starter is getting a lot of heatsoak...but I'm not sure of how to fix it...is there a starter heatshield made for our cars??? Or any other possible way to cure this ailment?

I hate driving for about 10 min., then being stuck for hours on end waiting for it to cool down!!!

...it may not help with this CA weather that we've been having lately...today it was about 98* where I am...thanx!

wow...great products from them...I looked through that site...and I decided on either the...

1. Heat Screen ($54.50 @ Summitracing.com)
or the
2. Cool-Tape (15 ft. roll...$13.99, same place)

what would you guys recommend???

heres a quick fix. when shutting her down open hood and run a/c .. this kicks on both fans and should aliviate an excess heat

yeah I did try that...for about 30 min., but for some reason, it didn't work for me (for the first 15...A/C was on low...then the next, it was full blast)

good thing I have nowhere to go this weekend, so maybe Summit will get me it fast!! emoji

well...I went with the Versa Shield and some locking ties from Summit...about $45, and it should be in my hands by the end of Tuesday...I'll let everyone know if it fixes the problem, how it looks, and most important...how easy it is to install!!!
