Well, I am not sure if this is the only cause of the exhaust smoke or not, but my headgasket is blown. I am not a car guy by any means, so I was wondering if there can be HP gains from different headgaskets, if so, which one should I get? Because of my current one being blown, is that reducing my HP? Any help will be much appreciated!

Easiest/best sealing head gasket is a Chrysler MLS (mulit-layer steel) Gasket. You can remove a layer of this gasket or buy a thinner copper gasket (which can have sealing problems if not installed properly and doesn't fit just right...) to give a little raise in compression. I am in the middle of trying to figure out if the copper headgasket I just installed is sealing or not.
But over all make sure the head gets to a machine shop to be checked for any warping of the deck. Any minute warping can lead to a headgasket leak sooner than it should.
*edit* typed like a mornon, forgot the word "thinner," when describing the copper HG... You should be able to understand my ramblings now.

wouldnt adding a a thicker headgasket lowercompression which would lose hp if dropped to low right now these cars are at 9.7:1 i dont just guestamting. but anyways if you add gasket spacers you would drop this a little anyways i just use felpro works for me i dont think there is any really big difference in hp gain just off a head gasket

>hehe shouldve figured you sound like you know your **** didnt >mean to intrude on it Hunh? I was not trying to sound rude bro if it came off that way that's my bad. I was just saying if you don't want to worry about it then use the one that everyone does. Michael is building an all motor beast so that's why he plays with the compression. All I'm saying is if you want to add power to your car do it the easy way with power adders like i/h/e rather than messing with the HG. Then later if you decide to build an all motor beast then start monkeying with stuff like that.

Exactly, Bob Kise at Forum Dodge, has great prices, make sure you mention you are with 2GNt, so you get the discount, otherwise his prices just fall under the okay to good cataory, but with the 2GNT/ASOG/Neons.org discount they are outstanding.
