I hope this is the right forum. I am new here and a neon owner so I have soem questions.

I have a 95 neon that I am puting a 420a head on then hanging the turbo in the front. I also wan't to use an aftermarket oil pan.

Do they make one for you guys?

Moroso makes one for us that would fit on the 420a but your exhaust would have not where to go, nor will mine.

I have moroso pan, a 420a pan, and a neon pan. I am thinking about disigning an aftermarket one for us.

How many quarts does the stock pan hold?

Would you guys be interested in such a product?

are you gonna change your intake manifold to our style too?
i'm pretty sure noone makes an aftermarket oilpan for the eclipse.
takes 4.5 qts of oil.

well, I'm going to make a custom sheet metal intake to go on the firwall side.

I don't think your manifold will fit between the firewall and the motor.

We cannot use the Moroso pan, and there are no aftermarket pans at our disposal. It is fairly easy, however, to customize and baffle the stock oil pan. The problem with the 2GNT platform is that the 420a isn't supported as the performance motor, as it is in the Neon/Chrysler community. I have seen the backside of a Neon motor, and I think that there might be room for the intake manifold to fit. Don't quote me, but if a 16G fits back there, the stock manifold should also. Glad to see some people jumping over to our setup, though. And the stock 2GNT pan holds 4 quarts, with the oil filter making up the extra .5 quarts that comprise the 4.5 quart system.

In the 2GNT's there is no support member that goes under the engine correct? I know for sure thsat there is on the 1st Gens but wasn't sure on the 2nd gens.

Reason being that it will make designing the new oil pan easier.

I know baffleing a stock pan is relitively easy, but you don't get extra capacity, I want to increase the capacity like the neon moroso pan does (we get 6.5 quarts)

There is a crossmember on the 2GNT, and also the exhaust pipe. There needs to be clearance for both. This is the reason the 2.4L pan has to be modified, the downpipe gets in the way. I'm not sure how much room there is for extra capacity with the crossmember and Downpipe as they are. I don't know that you'd get a full 6 quart pan in there.

I have a stock 2GNT pan so I know where I can go, but I don't know where I can't, I understand the whole downpipe thing.

To get the extra capacity I want to put a kickout in the rear possibly, this is what moroso does.
