Okay guys, I need your help! I have a 95 Eclipse GS...So far I have put underdrive pulley, high flo cat, 8.5 plug wires, Bosch platinum +4's , 2 1/4 custom exhaust, Bomz muffler. My newest addition was a cold air intake, which I customized and made into a dual intake ( I have 2 fat K&N filters on it) and now my car is smoking white from the exhaust. I am no rocket scientist but I belive I am running really lean since I have so much air going into it! For my question, Besides aftermarket fuel injectors---What can I do to get more fuel so I can get a more even burn( I dont have a ton of money hence why I cant get the injectors just yet!). Also, If I leave it like this too long what are the worst case scenarios for my engine???

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i don't think it has anything to do with the intake. have you checked for a blown headgasket? you should do a compression test. could be a headgasket or rings or a few other things.

Actually, unless I blew it within the last week, then maybe. When I first got the intake it only had one filter on it...I bought a PVC "TEE" connector and hooked up the second filter aiming straight down. It gets so much colder air, and ever since I did that, thats when I noticed. Defititely take you up on that and have it checked just in case!

The surest sign I got that my HG went out on me was oil in my coolant resevoir. Keep an eye on it. Of course, when I first noticed it, it was bone dry, but after a refill, it turned milky brown on me.

Another idea would be to get some regular spark plugs. Platinum 4s look sweet, and I've used them myself, but Platinum runs cooler than regular plugs and they get real bad reviews all the time around here.

Other than that, maybe pop for a $6 fuel filter?

You're still NA which means, you'll only get in as much air as the engine sucks in. You shouldn't be running lean just b/c you have to large air filters. As rich as we run from the factory, I'd look for some other problem before I worried about being lean. If you still think this is the problem, hook up a multimeter to your O2 sensor and get the readings as you drive down the road. My guess is the problem is not that you need more fuel. Just my .02 though.

take a good look at the color of the smoke.
white smoke is coolant burning.
blue-ish white is oil.

Either one could be leaking in with a blown headgasket. Start with a compression test and move from there.

Agreed with these guys. It definately has nothing to do with your intakes - the throttle body is only so big and will allow only so much air in. It sounds to me like you have an oil leak somewhere. How many miles do you have on your engine?

just a thought...
does it always blow white smoke or is it only when you first start it, cus it could also just be condensation. but like the others said, the car will not run lean without some kind of forced induction.
do a compression test it will tell you if something is wrong.

It seems to do it more after I have driven for a couple minutes...Just starting up does not produce any smoke...making me think more about the blown gasket...hmm I bet that compression test it pricey/got an idea how much---still probably cheaper than a blown engin

You can do it yourself. Probably rent a tester if you wanted but they only cost like $15 or something minor, and it adds to the tool collection.
