Every once in a while my car will die when im coming to a stop.It doesnt jerk or anything like i stalled it the engine just turns off and the oil light comes on.It does this about once every other day.What is making it do this?My car is a 5speed if that matters

did you check your oil? it sounds like what was happenning to me my neg. terminal of my battery was loose and would fall off or go losse while driving.

I think the oil light comes on just becasue the engine is off.You know when your sitting in you driveway and you put the key in the ignition and turn it a little the oil light goes on but once you start the car it turns off.Also i just changed my oil last week and it not the battery.

hey not new to the forum, just never posted. Well same thing has been happenning to my car for a couple of months. Before I thought it would go away but guess not. It happens more recently on some months than others but is still gonna be there and sure enough will not go away. I thought it was the battery too, so changed it twice and make it rea tight, bt still happenin. Youl get a engine code but I only got it to come up once and it didnt come up anymore. Well the car dies alot recently and wont turn on until a long period of time or fiddlin with the ECU or battery, which worked for me. I took ot to diff places to get it checked, no luck, n then took it to the dealer. they told me I needed a new ECU. Said the wiring on my car was somehow faulty and ran back to the ECU and scrambled something. Gonna cost $500 for a new ECU and $195 for labor.

uhhh, before you go spending $500 freakin dollars why dont you change your fuel filter, regap or replace your sparkplugs and get some fuel injector cleaner. Try that...it might work. Mine used to do it also but it doesnt anymore.
