I've seen autoloc's adds for they're 20 ft. flame thrower kit, do any of these really work, i dont see how a sparkplug in the exhaust could make a flame like that? is there any real flame thrower kit? would i geta flame if i took out my cat?

You need a spark plug, power source, and a way to control it (i.e. on/off). This is cool sometimes, but I'm sure its also ILLEGAL.
Goodluck.
*No taking off you cat wont get you a flamethrower. You'll have to replace it with a testpipe or a high flow cat.

Check the "Things We've Seen Before" in the section titled "Useless, stupid things we don't want to see again." There is some real information there, as this has been brought up "a couple" of times before.

they sell a kit on ebay for around 50 i think. All it does is take spark away from one cylinder adn send it back to a coil pack mounted near the exhaust. The coil pack boost up the spark and sends it to a spark plug mounted in ur exhaust and lights up the exhaust. With that one cylinder not getting spark it will make ur exhaust full of gas so it sparks up and shots out flames. If u do something like this u might want to gut ur cat or put a test pipe in for best results emoji

That can't be good. Your cat will definetely be gone anyways. If your coil goes out and u drive it home- expect to replace the cat and o2 sensor after the cat. Plus ur engine's not gonna really run reliable if u do that often is it? Seems like there are better ways to do that.

What the autoloc kit does is, it sends more fuel through your engine. Then, when the vapor is in the exhaust line. Once the engine hits a certain number of RPMs, the spark plugs will spark, igniting the fuel, and presto.. flames. emoji..

The closer you have the plug towards the rear of the car, the bigger flames you would get.

Here are some wiring schematics, that you can go to your local electrical store (maybe Radioshack), and get, so you can make the kit..

But remember, I am no way responsible in what you have done, or what you will do. emoji..

I don't see how it will hurt your car.. it is pretty dangerous though..

Also, you can't have a cat, remember that, and it MAY damage your motor..

I heard a guy with a Corvette did this, and the flame went back into his motor, or something, and messed it up, it is pretty dangerous.. so.. its your choice..

And BTW, this is ONLY the igniting system. You need a way to get fuel vapor down through the exhaust.

You need to buy another coil from an Auto Parts store (nothing too expensive, get something cheap), and it should be good enough.

uhhh, why dont you just get smart and mount a small propane tank in the back and run a line to the exhuast with a spark plug and light it. maybe mount a remote bottle opener on the propane and when you want just open it and flip a switch to shoot flames. Maybe mount it like a WOT switch so it only does it when you rev it hard that way it shoots really far. Or set it up like a purge valve. I mean come on...set it up like a nitrous system and it will work pretty well. find some other way to do it besides using your own motor or ignition coil...get creative. We both live in Kansas so maybe one weekend we can get together and be the first to do it. Remember, we have a meet coming up either this weekend or next.
