Bad? NOOOO
Good electrical paths can only help. It apparently helped you. Sometimes upgrading the ground doesn't really have an effect. But if you use better wires and make better connections you at the very least won't be worse off. I'm starting to think it could be a good idea to reground her.

If you bump your system and it causes your lights and dash to flicker.. you might want to consider getting a High Output alternator. Especially if you have an amplifier and it is around 1000watts+. If it clips or messes up too badly you can damage your system.

a capacitor or bat cap is a good idea when u run a large amp on your stereo...
You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.
If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good. If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast. If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.
