A had a manual conversion done to my car and my speedometer doesnt work.The people theat put it in said that i need a new manual tranny wiring harness.Is this true?If not what part do i need?

there is a sensor on the trany underneath the throtle body area, make sure it is plugged in. i don't know about a harness i am sure if ya buy a new sensor from the dealer they will give ya a new harness too.

I called the dealer and they said that the speedo sensor is the same in a auto and a manual and the place that put the tranny in said the sensor is in their.So could their be another reason its not working or what?

Try a search. it's a wiring issue.

You also need a manual ECU if you are not running one already.

Also my srs(airbag) light is on.What could be making this happen?It was never on before the manual conversion

hook up a datalogger and see if your ecu is reading the speed. If it is then you know the problem is in between the ecu and the instrument pannel. If its not seeing the speed on the datalogger you most likely have a problem with the speed sensor or harness. Tap into the speed sensor signal line to see if the sensor works. Jack up the front end and hit the gas of course. I have a diagram of the wireing from the speed sensor to the ecu to the IP if you need it let me know, ill have to scan it.
