First off, please NO FLAMES or jokes...(well maybe a little)
ok, took my brother's 92 Honda Prelude Si on a joy ride tonite, well got to my girl's house and turned off the car, we went back outside and tried to start up the car but

1. It took forever to turn over (not battery related we checked)

2. When if finally turned over, it was like it was still choking, (on low RPM's so it was shaking pretty bad) so I gave it some gas and it revved up but as soon as I let go of the gas the car dies...

3. I finally got it running by giving it some gas and putting it into drive at the same time(it's an auto) and it went without dying, but.....

in 1st gear when I tried to give it gas, there was a 5 second delay......and it felt really sluggish as opposed to earlier when I drove it, it was pretty quick...

When I got to my house, 5 minutes later...there was some smoke coming from behind the valve cover by the fuel rail? Also I pulled the wires from the plugs and it completely easily came off on 2 and 4, like it slipped right off, no struggle or anything, and when i tried to put it back on, there was no clicking or popping....

so what I'm trying to get is....I'm hoping somebody tells me I just need a tune-up, with some plugs and wires......before my bro gets home.....LoL, i'll fell pretty bad.....

Well you already know your first problem...the car is a honda:P lol j/k

Thats what I would try...a tune up. Check the belts and spark plugs. The Plugs should tel you a lot!! But I could be wrong...see what others say.
