Would our cars run without the map sensor? for example, if it was damaged, or removed, would it simply revert to some fuel table in memory based on the Throttle position? I'm thinking about doing some custom intake work, and a MAP sensor would be a tad difficult to incorporate into my plans...., i mean, i could do it, but it'd be alot simpler for me to leave it out...

Does the fact that i have a 1995 obd1 ecu matter at all? Extra fuel wouldn't be too bad, because that was actually part of my plan... *WHIPSERS* because i'm contemplating a custom quad tb setup using a tb off a 1998 GSXR 750... Figured i'd need extra fuel anyways....

for the quad TB setup the map sensor is a piece of cake to do, you just run 4 lines (one off each TB ) into a box and place your MAP sensor there, see here http://www.abdgraphics.com/iansite/ianthrottlebody2.
and for extra fuel you need larger injectors and a warlbro fuel pump and youll be set

Yeah I have the 4 TBs in my room to make that set up, MAP was never a problem, throttle linkage bracket and clearance will be more difficult that MAP and IAT, the IAC will be a little more creative, but just because of time.
