I was looking around and somewhere i read that you don't want to open up your exhaust too much because it would reduce back-pressure, which would lead to a loss of torque, or something like that. Would an aftermarket straight-through muffler perform well, or is it best to get a cat-back exhaust? Sorry for the ingorence, but i'm just starting out in the whold DSM tuning. I'm 15 and just got a 97 Esi. I still owe about 3 grand on the car, but once it's paid off the modding will start}( ... Shawn

i simple straight through muffler would help but u would tell a bigger difference from a full catback
