Well i am doing my timming belt change right now and i just got reading in the hanes manual and it says put the pistion to the top mark the number one pistion do i have to do this..i read a write up from someone and it said u didnt but the manual said you did the for the help....

I think that when you line up ALL the timing marks (the ones on the cam gears AND the ones down below on the other pulleys) the #1 piston will be at the top mark where it should be.
