#49157, "Question about corbin's 8-injector setup...eic question"

Hi Corbin (or anyone else),

I read on your site the following:

"The other four wires are injector drivers for each injector. You want to connect the driver for 1 and 3 together. Connect the driver for 2 and 4 together too."

That means that there are 2 drivers that the eic supports....does that mean out of the box it is intended to drive 2 injectors? Or is it able to handle 2 serial high-impendance injectors per driver?

I would think that you would have to use resistors to lower the combined resistance of two serially-wired injectors so that one driver would see only 13-16ohms of resistance (i.e. just one injector's resistance).

reason I ask is that the emanage is a similar setup - only 2 drivers. My worry (which i am researching) is that if i hookup two injectors to one driver I might fry the emanage as it will be seeing 2 x 13ohms of resistance....

Thanks

It can handle up to 10 injectors (not sure on the wiring though). The way I have my 4 injectors hooked up is actually 2 in parallel per driver. That makes an actual impedance of about 7 ohms per driver.

See above

Higher than expected impedance should not fry the e-manage. Lower impedances will be more demanding (more current). Low impedance injectors in parallel would be most demanding.
