that does you no good unless your intake mani has a 70-75 mm inlet...

fasterGS has a very good point.
you should see how big you can make the manifold inlet first. then match the TB to it.

isn't there such a thing as the straw becoming too big? I mean seems like once you get to a certain point, the air flow will not travel into the tb as fast. maybe i'm wrong but if you suck coke through a straw that's way too big, it gets harder to get the coke.
just my opinion,

jeff

Your stock manifold can only be bored to a little over 60mm so unless you do a sheet metal intake manifold or custome make a new end for the stocker a 70mm TB will do nothing. If you already have something setup for the manifold side I think the jeep can go 70mm but am not sure as I do not have mine yet.

Wouldn't you need a 70-75mm intake as well? I don't think you standard CAI will cut it.

Quite a few outfits bore them out to 62mm. Not sure how much more you could take the stocker. 63-64 maybee. If you want some crazy air, they make 68mm billit version. http://www.jeep4.0performance.4mg.com/intake.html

I planeed on making a new intake. Still using the stock top and bottom. But lobing off the top of the intake and putting probaly a 3.5 or 4 inch tube on it. Then mounting all the sensors back in it.

you could go somewhere and have them weld or add more aluminum around the flange on the stock Intake Manifold and then bore it out from there. I dont remember who it was but they accidentally went through the sidewall of their stock manifold while boring it out and went somewhere and had more aluminum added on to fix it.
