#48751, "Am I getting ripped off?"

If someone gave you a 420A bottom end only to rebuild, how much would it cost to assemble, blueprint, balance, bore, honed, cleaned whatnot (everything u need to do to make a performance block last)?
Also, if I asked for performance parts, but only 8.6:1 pistons, eagle rods, and bearings, everything else is stock.

Also, after assembly, I would need the engine to be swapped in and reuse the current head in the car now.

How much would everything cost if I asked a mechanic to do it, assuming the best prices on parts?

(And yes I looked into crating a Howell prebuilt engine, not worth it after it hits the border)

Right now the estimate for me stands at $5000-$6000 cdn = $3400usd-$4200usd.
