Do the no name brand cold air intakes get the same power gain as like the AEM CAI? The price on Ebay is considerably different and I would love to save the money if they basically are the same. Has anybody had any bad expierences with a no name brand or heard anything bad about them? Any information on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
do a search, youll find lots of threads on this. the general concensus is that performence wise they are virtually the same, but the build quality is not as good. everyone who has an Ebay CAI says it was well worth it, so id go for it.
I got mine off of ebay and I haven't had a problem with it yet. Nice little mod for the money. I would definately get it off ebay rather than 100+ for a name brand. The only complant I heard of was some people said the filters are junk and fall apart. I my self have not experienced this so I don't know. Worst case you spend the 30 for a K&N if it does fall apart. Hope this helps.
